Be the Thunder: Fans can take part in these activities as Lightning head to playoffs

From scavenger hunts to dinner with Bolts players to free game tickets, fans have plenty of opportunities to cheer on the team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

TAMPA, Fla. — Let's Go Bolts! Tampa Bay Lightning's Nikita Kucherov is hot off the heels of being the 5th player ever to reach 100 assists within a season, and the Bolts are headed into their first-round playoff matchup with the Florida Panthers.

Now it’s time for fans to "Be the Thunder" and participate in many events and activities in and around Amalie Arena to support the team as they skate toward a chance at winning their fourth Stanley Cup.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will activate its lineup of games, sweepstakes and watch parties ahead of and during its run in the 2024 NHL Playoffs, according to a news release.

Fans could send specialized “good luck” letters to the team before they hit the ice Sunday. It’s a sweepstakes presented by Publix, where certain letters will be on display for team personnel to see as they run through the Tampa Bay Lightning locker room tunnel.

A playoff prize pack, with a pair of free tickets to the team’s first home playoff game included, is up for grabs if fans participate in the Lightning Playoff Scavenger Hunt on the Tampa Bay Lightning mobile app. The more tasks you complete, the higher your chances of winning, the release said.

The Lightning Thunder Booth at the Amalie Arena could be a way for fans to create a lasting memory and show their support for the team while Lightning Plaza Parties could grant fans the opportunity to enjoy the game and win free gear outside the arena.

There will also be Lightning watch parties at Sparkman Wharf and MidTown Tampa for games one and two of the first round, where fans could party with ThunderBug and other Lightning personalities.

Opportunities to enjoy dinner with Lightning players from April 22 to April 25 at various partner restaurant locations will also present themselves; you just have to tap into the Tampa Bay Lightning social media channels to see where they will go next.
