LAKELAND, Fla. — An overturned dump truck along Polk Parkway near Interstate 4 caused traffic delays Friday for morning commuters.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the crash happened just after 5 a.m. on the Polk Parkway West ramp to I-4 westbound. The ramp was closed for several hours.
The roadway was cleared and reopened at 7:20 a.m.
Video from Sky 10 showed crews working to load an overturned dump truck onto a tow truck and clean up the sand that the truck was hauling.
The driver was not injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
