TAMPA, Fla. — A deadly crash involving a TECO pole is causing delays Tuesday evening in the area of W Waters Avenue at North Boulevard in Tampa.
Tampa police say around 5:30 p.m., two cars crashed and hit a TECO pole, downing power lines. One of the cars reportedly burst into flames.
When Tampa Fire & Rescue arrived to put out the flames, police say they found a body inside the car.
It's not clear what caused the crash or if anyone else was injured.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
