Tampa International Airport adding new spring break routes through Spirit Airlines

The nonstop routes run through TPA between early March and early April.

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Bay residents have a few more options for their dream spring break vacation this year.

Spirit Airlines has announced new, nonstop routes for travelers at Tampa International Airport for between early March and early April, according to a post on the airport's website.

The post says this is in anticipation of what could be a record-setting spring break travel season for TPA, with several days projected to bring more than 100,000 travelers each through the airport. 

“Airlines are seeing very heavy demand for peak season travel to Tampa Bay,” Alex Heiter, TPA's director of air service development, said. "Spirit’s additional services are a key indicator of the tremendous popularity of our region for visitors from around the world .”

Here's a list of the new options travelers have this Spring:

“Tampa’s many attractions and unique culture make it a fun spring break destination, and Spirit’s new seasonal nonstop flights will make it easier for our Guests in Kansas City, Memphis, Milwaukee and Nashville to visit Florida’s Gulf Coast,” John Kirby, vice president of network planning at Spirit Airlines, said. “The additional routes also give our Tampa guests an affordable and convenient way to explore four new destinations this spring.”
