TAMPA, Fla. — Two of the most affordable theme parks in Florida are right here in the Tampa Bay area.

Home to Go recently ranked the Sunshine State's biggest theme parks in order from cheapest to most expensive. Legoland Florida and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay got the number two and three spots, respectively.

The cheapest theme park? Fun Spot America in Orlando. The park opened in 1979 as Fun N Wheels near International Drive before being sold in 1988.

Fun Spot America reopened as Fun Spot Action Park in 1997 and was later renamed. The park has central Florida's only wooden roller coaster and the second tallest SkyCoaster in the world.

Disney World's four theme parks ranked as the four most expensive in the state. Hollywood Studios was deemed the most expensive because of its average meal prices.

According to Home to Go, all Disney parks have the same parking price and average ticket and accommodations price. Animal Kingdom has the cheapest average meal price of $15.99 with Hollywood Studios having an average meal price of $17.98.

Universal Orlando Resort's two parks -- Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios -- have the same average parking, ticket and accommodation prices. Islands of Adventure has slightly cheaper average meal prices at $16.49 versus the Studios' $18.29.

To calculate the ranking, Home to Go said it determined the advance price of a ticket for one adult. If the park didn't offer anytime tickets, it chose June 1, 2019, as the default date to determine the price.

For meals, the site calculated the price of a cheeseburger, fries and a drink combo deal and prices for those individual items.
