Sheriff: Hillsborough deputy saves woman's life using CPR

A woman dropped to the ground when she experienced a medical emergency at a local tax collector's office.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy saved a woman’s life at the Plant City Tax Collector’s Office.

A woman collapsed and stopped breathing while she was in the office on Tuesday due to a medical emergency, according to an X post from the sheriff’s office

Body camera footage shows Deputy Christina Paolillo jumping into action performing CPR and shocking the woman with an AED.

“She went unresponsive — no pulse and no breathing. We got the AED on her. I did CPR and we got her back now,” Paolillo said in the footage.

The woman is recovering, and the sheriff’s office said Paolillo’s “quick thinking was life-saving.”
