TAMPA, Fla. — A police training exercise is scheduled to take place Tuesday evening into the overnight hours at Tampa International Airport.
There's no need for alarm: Despite the appearance of an active situation, airport police and other law enforcement agencies will be participating in a drill involving an active threat, according to a news release.
The exact timing will be from 8 p.m. through 2 a.m.
During this time, the Blue Express arrivals and departures curbs will be closed to guests. People are advised to use the regular Blue arrivals and departure lanes for drop-offs and pick-ups.
The express lanes will reopen following the exercise.
