TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa International Airport is resuming its daily guided tours after putting them on pause earlier in the COVID-19 pandemic.

The complimentary tours allow up to 40 people per group and focus on the history, structure and design of the airport, which serves about 22 million passengers per year.

In a news release, tour guide and guest services receptionist Darius Hughbanks encouraged participants to wear comfortable shoes and pack light.

“I love meeting new people and showing them around the Airport,” Hughbanks added in a statement. “It’s like my home and people who take a tour become a part of our family. There’s so much more to airports than just planes and shops, and we love that our community gets to know more about us.”

The airport says tours are available for all age levels and are tailored to meet the specific needs and interests of guests. Guided tours can be booked by calling 813-870-8759 or emailing dhughbanks@tampaairport.com.
