The humidity has returned to Tampa Bay and so has the daily chance for thunderstorms.
Some of these storms, especially inland, could become severe during the afternoon and evening.
Along the coastal areas, the timing for storms will be late morning through about 4 p.m. Inland storms could be rumbling from about 1 p.m. through late evening, perhaps as late as 10 p.m.
The biggest concern with any storms that become strong-to-severe will be damaging winds, and possibly some hail as well.
An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, so the 10 Tampa Bay Weather Team will watching the radar very closely for any signs of rotation within storms.
The Storm Prediction Center places our inland counties in a “marginal” risk for severe weather. This is a 1 out of 5 risk level, which is relatively low.
