CLEARWATER, Fla. — A special new resident is calling Clearwater Marine Aquarium home.

PJ is a rescued bottlenose dolphin that can’t be released back into the wild due to a handful of medical issues. She is partially deaf, blind and suffers from arthritis.

The aquarium estimates PJ is about 30 years old.

She was initially rescued back in August in Tampa Bay.

PJ will be paired with Winter and Hope and live in the Winter Zone until all the dolphins at Clearwater Marine Aquarium are moved to a new, larger habitat set to open in 2020.
