It was only a matter of time before a television network scooped up a show about Florida Man.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported on Florida Man the TV show alongside news of Oxygen's other upcoming series. The outlet said Florida Man is from Blumhouse TV and Man vs. Robot.
Oxygen, under the NBC-Universal umbrella, is developing a true crime series features some of the Sunshine State's "most outrageous, notorious and craftiest killers."
In a statement to the Miami Herald, Oxygen said:
“When the murder is so bizarre, the motive so far-fetched and the crime so outlandish that it sounds like something from a Hollywood screenplay — there’s a good chance it was actually committed by a “Florida Man."
Blumhouse TV is run by Jason Blum, the horror master behind Paranormal Activity and The Purge series.
