Skyway 10K registration opens next week for 2024 race

As soon as the registration goes live, you'll want to race over to Skyway10K.com. The race is limited to 8,000 runners and spots go fast.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Each year, runners get the unique chance to race nearly 200 feet above Tampa Bay for the annual Skyway 10K — and if you want to participate in next year's race, it's time to act soon.

The Skyway 10K is 6.2 miles long and spans the Sunshine Skyway Bridge for a race experience unlike any other. The 7th annual race will take place on March 3, 2024, but registration begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30.

As soon as the registration goes live, you'll want to race over to Skyway10K.com and click "Register Now." The race is limited to 8,000 runners and spots go fast.

There are two different registration opens: general admission and VIP.

General admission is based on a first-come, first-served basis and costs $125 per person. Those who volunteered at last year's race will receive a priority registration link via email on Oct. 30.

VIP registration is also available on a first-come, first-served basis but is limited to the first 500 registrants. A $300 fee pays for your race entry, VIP bib with timing chip, commemorative t-shirt, finisher's medal, first choice for buses and access to VIP luxury tents all weekend long — including a full buffet and open bar.

Runners can also register as a group through either general admission or VIP registration. This option ensures that your group gets to race together.

100% of the proceeds from the Skyway 10K benefit the Armed Forces Family Foundation, which supports the families of our military service men and women. The foundation works to give military families "a sense of community support and well-being while their loved ones are away fighting for our freedom."

To date, the race has raised more than $2.8 million for the AFFF.

10 Tampa Bay is a proud sponsor of the Skyway 10K.
