Waterspout captured on camera in Tampa

A waterspout was seen twirling on the water off of Bayshore Boulevard.

TAMPA, Fla. — A waterspout was captured on camera off of Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa on Saturday evening.

Heather Rubio recorded the waterspout, which can be seen twirling on the water. The water from the bay is also seen splashing out while the waterspout moved.

A waterspout is a column of cloud-filled, rotating wind, that forms over the water, according to National Geographic.

Ross Newman also captured a separate angle of the waterspout in the same location. 

10 Tampa Bay Meteorologist Tyler Moore gave a radar location where the waterspout happened. 

A flood advisory was issued in Hillsborough County until 8:15 p.m. and in Pinellas County until 8:30 p.m. Some flooding may have been presented on the roadways in the Tampa and St. Petersburg area as slow-moving storm released a lot of rain.
