LAND O' LAKES, Fla — A 23-year-old inmate gained new charges Tuesday after deputies say he sprayed two other inmates with urine.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Alexander Kade used a spray bottle filled with urine to attack two other inmates.

The first victim was standing inside his cell at the detention center in Land O'Lakes with the gate closed when Kade sprayed the fluid, striking the inmate in the face and on his uniform shirt. The second victim was also inside his cell with the gate closed when he was sprayed with the liquid.

The sheriff's office said both victims stated the liquid smelled like urine and requested to press charges on Kade.

Deputies said Kade's actions were also caught on jail surveillance video.

Kade was charged with battery by a jail detainee on a detainee/visitor.

In November 2018, Kade originally booked into jail on charges of probation violation, battery on a law enforcement officer, felony battery, fleeing to elude and grand theft auto.
