LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — A Land ‘O Lakes toddler has died after the Florida Highway Patrol said an SUV hit her while she was riding a tricycle.
First responders flew Remington Lily Solano to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, according to an FHP crash report. Troopers said the 3-year-old girl died at the hospital.
The FHP said a Nissan SUV was backing out of a driveway around 6:38 p.m. ET Wednesday on Torvest Court near Bellericay Lane. The SUV then hit Remington while she rode a tricycle in the middle of the roadway, according to the crash report.
A 39-year-old man was driving the SUV and a 9-year-old girl was the only passenger inside, the report states. Charges are pending.
