ORLANDO, Fla. — A NASA contractor pleaded guilty to downloading child pornography at his desk at the Kennedy Space Center, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Tuesday.
Anthony Joseph Culotta, a 59-year-old Merritt Island man, admitted to receiving child pornography. He faces a minimum mandatory penalty of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison.
According to documents, he used NASA's network to download hundreds of images of child pornography, including images of known victims identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
They were found on his NASA-issued laptop when it was seized in June.
He had been a NASA contractor since 2004, officials said.
