Young Florida girl found safe after vanishing from her Citrus County home

Deputies are asking for your help finding Lainey Bramlett.

FLORAL CITY, Fla. — Update: The Citrus County Sheriff's Office said 5-year-old Lainey Bramlett was found safe Friday afternoon. 

Previous: The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 5-year-old, who disappeared from her home on E New Hope Ct. in Floral City. 

Lainey Bramlett is described as a white girl, who is about 3-feet tall and weighs approximately 50 pounds. She has blonde hair and was last wearing a purple floral t-shirt, blue jeans and boots.

The call for her disappearance came in around 12:12 p.m. Friday, according to law enforcement. Authorities are using bloodhounds and a helicopter in their search for her.

Deputies are urging the public to keep an eye out for her. If you have any information about her disappearance, you are urged to call the sheriff's office at 352-726-1121 or dial 911.

According to the Citrus County Chronicle, this is not the first time the girl has gone missing. She was reportedly found previously after an hours-long search back in January 2017 when she was only 3.
