Mom shares journey from fertility issues to having quadruplets: Part 1

After a viral gender reveal on TikTok, Raquel Tolver walks us through what it’s like going from being a mom of one to a mom of five in a year.

TAMPA, Fla. — One child can be a handful but imagine going from having one baby and finding out you are pregnant with four more in just a year.

That’s the story of Raquel Tolver and her Air Force veteran husband Darius. The Tampa Bay area family’s gender reveal for their quadruplets went viral on TikTok

The Tolver’s already had a 2-and-a-half-year-old son, Dreyson, but having him was a bit of a struggle. They wanted a sibling for him so they started trying right away and got the surprise of a lifetime — Raquel was pregnant with four babies!

We sat down with Raquel just a couple of weeks after she had the four babies, and they were still in the NICU. Born at 26 weeks, three boys and a girl — Byson, Amaya, Royce and Denzel — are all healthy and now at home.

Life for Raquel is busier than she imagined. She shares her journey on social media and now has hundreds of thousands of followers who are invested in how she’s able to juggle it all.

Raquel tells us it’s far from easy. This is the first of three of our interview with her.

Watch the next episode of Timeout to learn more about why she says her support system is everything.
